Our romantic, beachfront villa is located on 1/2 acre, with 82 ft. of ocean frontage in Tankah, Quintana Roo, Mexico. We are 3 miles north of the magnificent Tulum ruins or a l 1/4 hour drive south of the Cancun airport, just off the main highway, Rt. #307. Renting a car is recommended and can be arranged for in the states, with pick-up at the airport.

Tankah, is a secluded, mostly residential, centrally located area, within driving distance to many points of interest. Here you can swim in the moonlight, snorkel from our beach or dive in the jungle-like nearby cenote, or just stroll the beach for miles. Watch the sea birds dive for dinner or simply take a siesta in our hammocks or lounge chairs, totally relaxed under our palapa roofed porch, caressed by the tropical tradewinds.

Casa Tropical now has a 1st and 2nd floor rental unit, designed with privacy in mind. Both are tiled throughout with fully equipped kitchenettes, bottled water (supplied), gas stove with oven, refrigerator, gas hot water, ceiling fan, and Haitian artwork throughout. Hammocks, lounge chairs, bed and bath linens are provided.

Our 1st floor unit also has a roofed porch with table and chairs, private hammock palapa and stained glass window. Our 2nd floor unit has a small balcony off the bedroom and a palapa covered 14'x29' rooftop, outdoor living area with built-in seating, bar with sink and hammock.

We have solar powered electricity that is more than adequate, but we do conserve, and turn fan or lights off when not in use. Our English speaking, property manager lives nearby, and we provide twice weekly maid service, trash removal and have the grounds and beach maintained by a gardener.

The ancient ruins of Tulum, just 10 minutes away. The only Mayan city built on magnificent bluffs overlooking the sea. Truly one of the most beautiful settings anywhere. The famous archeological sites of Coba and Chichen Itza are also nearby.

The tropical paradise known as the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, a 1.3 million acre reserve. This wonderful reserve begins just south of the Tulum ruins. It's a land teeming with wildlife, pristine sun drenched beaches, jungle lagoons, tiny islands, mangroves and palms.

Include, dive shops in Akumal and Tulum, where you can arrange ocean dives, cenote dives, fishing, boating and windsurfing. Hiking, horseback riding, biking, golf, archeological sites, cenote diving, Sian Ka'an Biosphere Tours. You can easily take a day trip to Cozumel from Playa del Carmen ferry pier.

Services you will find in the town of Tulum include, restaurants, gas station, money exchange, fax, internet and phone service, bakery, fruit and vegetable stands, doctor and pharmacy, grocery stores, taxis and bus station.
