This project is located in the Peninsula of Punta Guiones in Nicoya, Guanacaste. Initially, the property was around 76 hectareas, but the company sold 11.5 hectareas including the hotel Villaggio La Guaria Morada to an international corporation and now is named "The Villaggio Timesharing Resort", which is being remodeled to fit the standards of a first class timesharing, with restaurants, swimming pools, conference room, tennis court and other facilities.

The property has one of the world's few pink sand beaches with a gorgeous small waterfall, natural swimming pools in the ocean formed and protected by the coral reef, in front of a small pink sand beach island where a lot of pelicans, herons and all kind of marine birds come every day to get food from the ocean.

Forms part of the Punta Guiones Ecological Reserve, where the tropical dry forest keeps a lot of birds on its natural environment as well as other protected animals that belong to the zone. It is approximately one hour from the Ostional National Park, where every month the big turtles arrive and are protected by the Ostional Community.


At the beginning of the property is the Nosara River and some spring rivers that come from the nearest hills and mountains, the most important being the Garza River because on its river mouth come a lot of herons looking for food.

The Punta Guiones topography with its different valleys, beaches and hills allows different alternatives for its development, such as...Hotels, Medical Center, Ecological Spa, Beach Club, etc.

One of the most important aspects of the property is that it has the 150 meters facing the sea registered, keeping only 50 meters as the restricted zone which is determined by the Marine Zone Law.

In this zone and surrounding areas, there are foreign communities formed by Americans, Europeans and some high government employees whom have built their homes, businesses and lives in the zone.

The project is located only 11 kms from the Nosara airport, which is totally paved and with daily scheduled flights from local airlines.

Also there is a luxury bus service from Alfaro Buses, which has a 34 passenger bus, air conditioned that goes to Garza and Nosara, every day at 6:15 a.m. and returns to San Jose at 1:00 p.m. If you want another option, there are a lot of taxis that can take you over at any time upon request.

The distance between the Punta Guiones property and San Jose is 245 kms. by the Tempisque River ferry boat, or 340 kms. throughout the city of Liberia in a very picturesque trip.
