Compass Cay is one of the 400 islands that make up the Exuma archipelago, 200 miles from Miami and 75 miles southeast of Nassau.

Compass is a natural paradise of 450 acres and approximately 2 miles long. There is a shallow creek meandering up the centre of the island which is a perfect spot for bonefishing and there are at least fifteen beaches the most spectacular being a 3/4 mile crescent of dazzling white sand three minutes walk from the rental house.

There are many trails on the island for scenic walks and Compass itself is surrounded by numerous other islands and beaches which are waiting to be explored. One mile north is the Exuma Land and Sea Park - a 35 mile long nature sanctuary.

There is a small marina and just two houses on the island. The Lodge and the Tree House Apartments.

There are two types of accommodations. The three bedroom "Lodge", and Tree House apartments, each with two bedrooms.

The Lodge

The Lodge is one of only two houses on this spectacular 450 acre island, and is set in its own private gardens on a high ridge giving 360 degree water views. Private paths lead from the large veranda on the East side of the Lodge to the crescent beach. From the sixty foot porch on the West side of the Lodge you will delight in the constantly changing colors of the waters of the Pipe Creek area. Your private stone path winds down through the woods to the marina and harbor area.

The Lodge is airy and spacious with a 30' x 25' open central living and dining area, featuring spectacular views from the numerous screened doors and windows. The three bedroom, one bath Lodge sleeps six with a double bed in one bedroom and two single beds in each of the other two bedrooms. The bedrooms are air conditioned and also have ceiling fans. All linens are supplied. All floors are tiled, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything except your food and beverages. Your own propane barbeque is located outside, on the porch.
